Thanks, NightBird! I'd read a couple of Eisler's John Rain series (and enjoyed them) when they were first released, but they'd pretty much dropped out of my memory banks (and radar). I doubt I would have spotted this on my own. And... since my memory bank is faulty on this one, I can look forward to the full experience of a new book again, with none of the risk!
