I almost never reboot, but I'll be curious to see if mine behaves the same as yours (first launch after reboot work fine).
Thanks for the input. I'll see if configuring calibre to minimize to the tray has any effect (the minimize/close button is so hard to find/click when in "miniature mode"). But for whatever reason, debug mode works for me—the majority of the time anyway.
