Calibre keeps everything spread out in folders, so the number of files in a folder would not be an issue -- but the number of folders in in the main directory could have been an issue. Agreed. I tried to upload 300MB on Box yesterday took about an hour and 20 minutes so good luck with 8GB that took me a week to do then when I upgraded the program it has to resync everything again by then the DB corrupted.

Let me know how it works out for you. With Dropbox I got 8GB uploaded in 3 Hours.
