NOTES FOR A DX:
TO USE THIS ON A DX:
amend LINE 23 of run_game.sh to read:
[[ $K -eq 90 ]]&& break # use Aa for enter
This loader uses eips to display lists of games. One can then be selected from the list by
- typing it's name then
- Pressing the Aa Key
A demo rom is included, if you enter no name the demo will run.
To select any game you would type nameAa
where name is the name of the rom you wish to run.
games can live in
- /mnt/us/fbgnuboy/roms or
(about the 8 bit touch version)
There has been built an X-version of this for the touch devices but it stumbled on creating long presses with the Touchscreen driver which renders many games unplayable. If anyone has any tips on fixing that... chime in. Happy to share the xgnuboy build, make tweaks or whatever (it has sound)
. Dithering on the 8 bit devices is also unfinished. So... Unless you are a developer don't expect joy on the alternate devices yet. Cheers.
Refactored scripts to have several convenience functions. Looping, error handling, etc.
Bundled and tested initial bonus roms
reworked scripts to allow for ARCHIVE folders in the main roms directory.
(provisioning initial D/L's and docs as per licensing requirement)
reworked it to look "nicer"
made dialog prompts more descriptive of the actual end-user requirements
Other dull stuff.
Tested and packaged 30+ Public Domain GB titles for eink.
