@ixtab: Yep, I understand how it works. Still, they push their updates much slower than other companies who work with the same method. With iOS, for example, it can be a question of hours or sometimes days before receiving a system update, not weeks. I understand the technicality of it and I'm not complaining, I was just surprised considering the previous faster experience with any device that I have ever owned, including a Nook ST.

Same thing goes for shipping the product at 5.3.1 while 5.3.3 is out. It appears that 5.3.1 was released in early December and 5.3.2 in early January. I bought the device almost in February, so the OS was two-months old. I understand why it happens, it's just surprising. Of course, it's justified by the fact that the demand for ereaders is not HUGE.
