well "serene" is possibly the *last* adjective i would choose to apply to les Negresses Vertes but maybe if the other songs on the compil are so calm they're almost comatose it can all average out. however, i *do* agree that les Negresses are very uplifting and good-mood-inspiring, so i can see how that would make people feel comfortable in a house. i will have to look at the track listing of your buddha bar compil.
