It seems to work a bit different in Tapatalk HD for iPad. Here's what it looks like when you've selected a post using that app. Selecting "Web View" opens the post in a separate Tapatalk window with all the normal options you'd see in a browser.

If you instead choose the "Web View" option via the three dots at the bottom, it takes you to the first page of the thread, and when you opt to go to any other page, you leave Tapatalk and your browser opens.
