@BrianEnigma: Unless you happen to have usbnetwork enabled at boot, it shouldn't cause any issue AFAIK. That said, it doesn't completely surprise me either, the whole usbms/userstore thing can be a bit tricky, so updating/rebooting unplugged is a good habit
