Right now the buttons on the side don't do that much - to page to the next, you'll use the large, square button.
Just a warning - I highly recommend not just putting the Cybook (or really any of the eink devices) into a pocket unless you can fit them in while in the case, and even then I'd be a little wary about the stresses.
