Thanks, I just checked it and it is set to active already. Funny thing is, last night, after I'd posted, it did finally boot up from the card, but I was getting ready to go to bed and just shut it down. Now today, again it's not booting from the card!
Shouldn't formatting and re-imaging the card fix any corrupt files? I already did that once, but will try it again, but I also wonder if the card is just a problem, or my Nook itself is. I don't think I'll be able to get another card to try quickly; last time I had to order online b/c I couldn't find any of the "good" ones locally in the correct size (I"m using a Sandisk Class 4, 32 gb b/c the n2a forums had a list of the ones they knew worked and ones that don't, at least for the HD+)
thanks for all the help; I'll keep trying while I look for another card, and I may go ahead and get the Nook exchanged this week too.
