My 64 bit (laptop) is not unpacked for testing...BUT

This probably should NOT be done in the Global, Conversion Preferences setting.

Use the per book CONVERSION setting screen, to perform your clean-up. Bulk mode Conversion can work here IF you use the current default settings by ticking the box AND set your additional preferences on THAT conversion form
