I was living in Japan when JFK was assassinated. It still amazes me how much the assassination affected the Japanese people at the time. There were long lines of crying Japanese at the temples paying their respects. And then Robert Kennedy came and dedicated a memorial to JFK right in front of my house. You could not move around with all of the people there to witness the event.
