Ah well, at the risk of dashing my chances:
I've got two short stories with complete first drafts that feel solid enough to be worked on through to edit and completion. I also hope to complete at least a couple more short story first drafts.
I'd also like to prepare a much better outline for a second novel, with a view to a first draft by the end of the year.
I'll return to reread that first novel in a few months' time, but while it was fun to write, I'm not sure it's got enough in it to be worth taking forward.
The main goal is to improve my writing, of course. Words on the page are the means to that end.
