Are we still venting and ranting around here? Because I want to talk about...

The Backorder.

I ordered something 2 weeks ago, and was told it was "in stock, and would be delivered in 14 days. It will probably be only seven but, y'know, they make us say that."

12 days later, they called to say the item was backordered 3 weeks. (Which immediately begs the question: If they didn't know it was backordered, how do they know it'll be there in 3 weeks?)

We called the manufacturer, who had told the store and us 2 weeks ago that, yes, they were in stock. Now, yes, they're backordered from the factory in--where else?--China where they are produced. They will be here in 3 weeks. (Please beg same question as above.)

Here's my thing: Any store, vendor or manufacturer that cannot tell you at the moment you plan to buy whether there is an item in stock for you, at that moment... but leads you to believe it can... is a lying &#*!&$^!*$^%&@!!

Every store, vendor and manufacturer uses the Backorder as an excuse for not knowing what stock they have, and not having the stones to tell you.

Every store, vendor and manufacturer knows this, but they try to convince you they know what stock they have at all times... this makes them liars.

I am so sick of rewarding liars with my business. Why don't I just get a "$" tattoo put on my lower back, right above my butt, and call it my target for the "corporate money shot?"
