Okay, I got no drawing options here, but if you take the top left matchstick you can rotate it about ninety degrees and slide it down and right to touch the other triangle about halfway up. Do a similar move with the top right matchstick and you will have a big equilateral triangle (the one on the bottom to start) and two quarter-size equilateral triangles. Plus a couple of great pointy ears.
This approximates what I am talking about.
