Let's review what happened:

She had a rotten case of the flu.

That made her severely dehydrated.

Which caused her to faint.

Which caused her head to hit the floor.

Which resulted in a concussion. (Which is what happens when your head suffers a blunt force injury.)

She also apparently had a small subdural hematoma (essentially a bruise on her brain).

When blood pools anywhere in the body, clots can form.

If a clot forms and breaks away, it can travel to other parts of the body, where it can get stuck and block vessels.

If the blockage occurs in the heart we call it a coronary thrombosis.

If it occurs in the brain we call it a stroke.

This clot is already in her brain, so it doesn't have to go far to cause problems. However, it is not actually blocking a vessel yet.

They are treating her with anticoagulants and lytic agents in order to break up the clot so it doesn't do any damage.

Even if Mrs. Clinton were to have a stroke, she's essentially being pretreated for it, so it is unlikely that it would do much damage.

In other words she has an excellent chance to recover completely. Note, that does not mean the original flu, fainting, or concussion were any less real.
