The problem is that you're judging a literary work based on the fact that it
is political rather than on how well it functions as a novel. Judging a novel based on whether or not you approve of its politics is juvenile. George Orwell was a socialist and wrote like one, yet credible conservative critics of his time would never have stooped to condemning his writing based on their disagreement with his beliefs. It's always about the writing and never about the politics.
