The last change in calibre that affects CC was in calibre V 0.9.9. What calibre version did you upgrade from?

The change was to prefer port 9090 for wireless device connections when a network port is not specified in calibre's wireless device setup. Is there any chance that your firewall is blocking that port?

What version of CC are you running?

Edit: Steven (the other CC developer) tested this on his macbook. CC 2.5.3 on a Nexus 7 had no problem connecting as a wireless device to calibre 0.9.12 on the macbook. This implies that the problem is local to your network or computer. I suspect the firewall, but it could also be that you have a VPN connected.
