MobileRead Forums - View Single Post - Calibre making sentences highlighted in conversion?

i wrote up my own story in word and saved it as "webpage, filtered" as i always do. i converted it to epub and sent it to my nook HD, but the problem is that every sentence is highlighted in white (i use the gray background as it's easier on my eyes, so it's very noticeable).

this is the only file i've created with this problem. is there a way to fix it?
