No one is going to reward you for reading something that can't keep your interest. Not unless it's for a class, a reading group or you have to review it for some reason and its a mandatory read. Otherwise, you're the only person you have to please.
In this case, if you have to ask "why?" then find something you like better. It's your time, spend it well.

Yes - if you're having a hard time sticking with it, maybe it just isn't the book for you. Maybe you should try a different author, or a different subject. Even people who love to read fiction, and read all the time, sometimes come across a book that just doesn't hold their interest - even if it's supposedly a good book.
