1) The jailbreak will not allow you to view all the files, it will simply allow you to install custom updates on the kindle.
2) There is no file manager yet
3) You don't need ssh for thore two things. Ssh is a system that allows you to access the internal linux system. Unless you want to do that, you don't need ssh
