As one of their Christmas freebies, Google Play users get the original novella today.

Find it on the main Google Play screen.

The Google Play version has illustrations and accompanying recorded content that can be played on your tablet featuring a voice cast re-creating some scenes.
Yes, you do have to have an account with them to get the book, but so do any of the Kindle freebies, etc., so if you don't have an account with Google Play already you will need to set one up.
