Apparently Palm is not the only one who
found a liking in the prospering Chinese market. According to a
Digitimes report, Hewlett-Packard is expected to launch its iPAQ Mobile Messenger in China today, December 6th.
China-based mobile operator China Mobile and other vendors in the channel have expressed interest in selling the iPAQ PDA phone, which features built-in Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in camera, the report said... HP will focus its marketing efforts on the high-end segment of China's handset market and will not compete with other vendors in the low-end segment, according to the report.
Other sources mention specifically a localized version of the iPAQ HW 6515 Pocket PC to sell at a price of around $750.
