Like others have mentioned, there are much worse things a person could spend their money on.
I can't say that I won't indulge myself in anything new next year at all, but I am going to TRY to get through my TBR pile as much as possible. The great thing about freebies is, if I'm not enjoying it almost from the start, I can delete it and move on to something else.
