Possibility because we hold the tablet closer to our eyes? And add the lack of fine control of contrast on the text/black and light causes eyestrain? On my firehd it seems the background vs the text is sometime clashing with each other. (my best way to explain it)

But with all readers we need to take our eyes off the device and look at other things around us and look at things at different distances from us, it helps!
