Actually this is one of the questions that I've been interested in. I'm not giving away my first book in general, but would like to offer some give-aways to try and kick start things a bit. I've been meaning to sit down and re-read a my distribution agreement to find out if a limited time/number give-away is going present any problem (you don't want to upset resellers or violate agreements). In theory you can "simply" change your pricing ... but the time it takes for things to get through to resellers makes this a less than ideal way to go, or so it seems to me.
