I have loved the B-L contest for years! I even entered it a couple of times in the Bad Hemingway category, which they seem to have no longer, just as the tramp of soldiers' feet fades into the distance on a clear spring day that no one could have foretold would signal the end of innocence and the start of hell on earth, at least for young Roger, who had never seen the outside of his mother's skirts before setting his face to that long and lonesome road called chartered accountancy.
