Built in light, dust betwen layers possible?

Hi:

I have a PRS-700, with built in light. In this device there is a gap betwen layers and thus, the dust inside, betwen layers is very visible with built in light on.

I wonder if this can happen with kobo, nook or kindle.

Additionaly, my device has a resistive touch screen obviously above the other layers. When using it outdoors or with external light, some glare may occur. I have read that kobo touch screen is IR based (like new Sony) and thus there is no layer above e-ink screen. Is this correct?

Regards.

PD: I'm pretty happy with my device, because of this I want my wife to return it to me.
