Itīs not only a joke - itīs a saying / proverb in Germany ("Jede Kröte schlucken" - To swallow every toad ...) - it means a person is submissive and does everything he/she is told (by the Government).
I thought there is a similar saying in English ... my point is that itīs outrageous that the government can take your civil rights. And itīs even more outrageous that the majority obviously doesnīt care.
There is private date on your e-book Reader / Laptop and no one should have the right to just confiscate it.
I hope the next president will restore the constitution and the civil rights in the USA.
