The mentioned companies are multinational. Acer and Asus are commonly described as Taiwanese multinationals. Leveno is commonly described as a Chinese multi-national. Steve Ballmer once said that Microsoft was as much Israeli as American, although I think that was an exaggeration.

EDITED: I may have been missing the point. Was the point just in reference to the second chart, showing that in one mid-North American country, more Apple than Android smartphones are now sold, which only goes to show that Apple does unusually well in said nation of spendthrifts.
