Robert Benchley (1889-1945) was a columnist and movie actor noted for his humorous short pieces in both mediums. He also played as a supporting actor in several movies.

This collection of 104 short pieces from his newspaper columns was published as a book in 1936.

The full title is "My Ten Years in a Quandary, and How it Grew".
