I went to the Iowa State Fair yesterday to look for supplies (between courses, of course, of lemonade, gyros, and pineapple-on-a-stick - yum!). I searched the barns and found a good supply of llamas and angora rabbits (well, they kinda looked like angora rabbits). I also found angora chickens (well, they kinda looked like angora chickens). And then my thoughts drifted to bacon. Not sure why that happens sometimes. Anyway, I crept into the swine barn and started hunting for a nice big two-year-supply-o-bacon-kinda-pig. I found several nice juicy ones but for some reason I started barking (I'm not sure why that happens sometimes). The people there weren't too keen on having a dog in the barn and I had to run for it. I high-tailed it to the side entrance and at the last turn I ran head first into a pen with two pigs in it. I just stood there staring. I couldn't believe their eyes...er, I mean my eyes. There they were. Clear evidence that GLOBAL ACUTELATION is upon us: pandapigs! They looked surprisingly similar to the attached photo (must remember to bring USB cable for camera next time). After a few moments, I just wandered away having lost all interest in bacon (now you understand just how cruel global acutelation is - and you thought it was harmless, didn't you!). I'm going back today and hope to learn more about what's going on there. I'll report back when I can and try to collect some supplies, too.
