Yes, I am considering auto because it possibly allows me to debrick my Kindle if something goes wrong, next to the ENABLE_DIAGS trick (if under some circumstance I can't access the USB storage during the boot process I could still theoretically connect via SSH and debrick it then).
Well let's just hope that the OpenSSH instance is not power hungry and I got myself a perfectly working Kindle setup
