I bought a pair of something like that several years ago ... I think they were by Sony, but I'm not certain. They are out in the garage somewhere.
Those were a bit larger, but in a way, I liked that because it blocked out more of the view and incoming light so it was more like being in a theater.
I'm sure in the intervening years the technology has changed such that they are much lighter ... and probably have better resolution. As I recall, the ones back then were just a bit grainy ... and I think the price was about $1000 for a pair.
The price has certainly come down a long way!!
I'm going to have to drag those puppies out of where ever I have them stashed and try them out again.
