According the change log you can now configure the viewer to start in full screen mode.
Unfortunately, you can set this option, but the setting is not saved somehow, therefore not working.
I did checked the check-box option, clicked Ok and restarted the viewer. No full screen mode. Inspecting the option revealed that the check-box option was not checked anymore. Several tries did not work either. Perhaps a bug?
