I have a small (1 inch) little red line at the top left that I can only see if I tilt the Glo at an extreme angle. Don't see it when reading. I can also see some red when I look through the usb port. Again, I don't see this when reading. I figure the light for the backlighting has to come from somewhere and I am not that curious to investigate how the Glo works. I think the red, contrary to others in this thread, is probably "normal" and not a sign that your Glo is about to have a meltdown. If my hand burns sometimes in the next month as a result of the Glo blowing up, you may all laugh at my expense.
