If your current Kobo works, you don't need to upgrade. I have a 650 and I didn't need to upgrade to a T1 or T2. You might want the new Glo. But that's not actually need.

But my cell phone did need upgrading as it didn't work well. It was an iPhone 3G that I've upgraded to an iPhone 5.
