The screen on my PW is far from perfect. I have both a bit of the washed-out fonts and a slight pink-hue (which seems to come and go), but It's still better than any other e-reader screen I have seen so far. Much better.
And, as said above, Amazon CS is very good. Returns are fairly painless, if you get a bad one.
