Skype Certification Process
There are four steps in the Skype certification process:
1.Request a certification test.
2.Pay the associated fees.
3.Submit your product—in its final packaging and with its user manual—to Skype’s certification test center.
4.Receive your results once testing has been completed: •Pass: request your distribution key pair!
•Fail: make the necessary corrections and re-submit your product for testing.
Requesting a certification test
To request certification testing for your product(s):
1.For each product you plan to submit, please complete a Test Request form: •Type your identification, contact, and product description information in the appropriate fields.
•Select SkypeKit from the Product Type drop-down list box.
2.Pay the applicable fee(s).
Paying your test fees
Skype charges a $2000 (USD) fee for each Certification lab test. Typically one full test round consists of both an Audio and a Video test – this would cost $4000 (USD). An invoice can be issued upon receipt of this fee and acceptance of your Test Request. We use PayPal for all invoicing and payments.
