All her notes and last read positions should be synchronised with her Amazon account. Doing a full reset shouldn't lose any ebooks that have been bought through her Amazon account, and any other books should be re-downloadable from wherever she get them originally.
What, exactly, is she concerned that she might lose though a full reset?
