I'd say Amazon knows very well that there is money to be made and that a shift from pbook to ebook will eventually happen anyway. It won#t be fast, and it won't be easy, but happen it will.

Some people (like Steve Jobs) think that reading is a dying art, but I don't think so, and it appears that I am not alone in that belief.
There have been loads of articles bashing ebok and ereading devices over the years, and still the ebook trend has become more and more mainstream with ever more books being available as ebooks and prices starting to drop (sometiomes) as well, and I'd much rather believe what I can see with my own eyes than what some so-called journalist writes on some blog or in a magazine...
