Frankly, I don't think color eink is ever going to hit the marketplace. Not with tablets becoming so ubiquitous and [relatively] inexpensive.
If you want an eink reader, and are concerned about the PW screen, go with the less expensive Touch or non-Touch model. There have been few complaints about either.
