Browser won't accept URL

Anyone else have this problem? I noticed it first in (manually updated) 2.1.1 (I think, maybe it was 2.0.0). The problem was still present in 2.1.4 and I'm using 2.1.5 now, with the same issue.

From settings, extras, open browser. Google is the home page (luckily!). I hit the address bar, delete the google url that is in the field that opens up, type the url I want to go to, then hit "Go" in the bottom right of the screen.

The address-bar-with-keyboard-window closes to go back to the browser, but nothing else happens. The new url is not loaded nor is it present in the address bar. Just the google page as it was before.

The only way for me to go to a specific url is to search for it in google's search field, let google find the site I mean, then tap the link google gives me...

Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else experiencing this bug (as I presume it's a bug). I do recall using the browsing + address bar successfully pre-2.x.x...
