Actual, the entire contents of /usr/local/* has gone to the big bit bucket in the sky.

Just replacing that part of the filesystem tree from one of the de-brick images should fixup the machine.

Just be certain to test the files that you are going to use from the de-brick image against your audit list before moving them to the Kindle.

If none of the above makes any sense, then just follow the full de-brick instructions.

And once you are back to normal, you should probably update the /etc/shadow checksum line in your audit file to match the changed file (probably a password change).
