OK, I have seen that behaviour with epubs on my Touch in two circumstances:

- Something wrong with the book. If the structure is wrong, then this can happen. Does the table of contents display and work?

- The other time is when I have edited the epub and replaced it. If the file structure in the epub changes, then navigation stops working. As you have done a reset, this is unlikely to be the cause.

The first reason is most likely. What is the source of the books? If they have a common source, then they might be broken in the same way.

As a test that it is or isn't your device, download an epub from the library here and put it on the device. If that doesn't work properly, then it something strange with the device.
