Having lived on between 400-800 calories a day for the past 5 months (except once a week or so when I cheat for one meal,) combined with walking, stair-climbing, and daily push-up and sit-ups, I can attest to the fact that not only did I lose over 35lbs, but I can now RUN up six flights of stairs. At the beginning of July I was unable to WALK up two flights without thinking I was going to die...

After four days of travel, and eating all sorts of bad stuff (McDs, cookies, pizza, hot dogs, fried chicken, chips AND crisps, plus two cans of Coke each evening,) in large quantities, it felt really GOOD to go back to eating less than 1000 calories. I walked 8km today, at a fast clip, then jogged up six flights to my apartment. I confess to breathing heavier while unlocking the door. But not much heavier.
