I don't have any piece of clothing with any pocket I could possibly fit a 7" device into. The only exception being cargo pants and it is extremely uncomfortable to have even a 5" device in the lower pocket when walking. And 5.5" is the absolute limit for the pockets on regular pants or jeans. Remember, you have to move and sit down with the device inside.
Or are all of you carrying "murses" with you? So for me a 7" is no more portable than a 10". Both are light enough.

My fire fits nicely in the back pocket of a pair of 34" waist Levis 505 jeans or the front pocket of dockers. The hd is tight, but stays there just the same. Either would fit in the pocket of my sweatshirt or windbreaker.
I don't generally carry the fire in a pocket, but, when I need my hands free, it's nice to be able to tuck it somewhere.
Anyone seen a fanny pack for the kindle fire?
