Removing DRM on everything that has it has become an automatic backup system for me. As long as so-called bookstores insist that I am licensing an ebook when I buy one, I'm not going to trust them not to revoke my license at some time in the future for whatever reason.
And don't anyone give me any bullshit about agreeing to their terms of trade before I buy. I cross my fingers when I click on 'I agree'.
As it happens not a lot of what I buy has DRM, but that's probably just coincidence.
