I am not going to argue with Anabran - but simply reply that I'd rather put a light ereader, with masses of battery life, in my in-flight bag. But that's me (!)

However, I do echo the comment about trouser pockets. I have the Sony T1 which is probably one of the smallest and lightest machines. It will fit in a jacket pocket but never into even the most generously cut trousers I own.
