So I had a similar experience to the original poster. I started the Mac app and got a message for an update. I got to the update page and it reports I am not connected to the internet. This is strange since I can browse the bookstore. Is this the 32 bit mode problem in another guise? I am not turning my mac back to 32 bit mode just to get an update to an app I only use because I think they have the best reporting for new books. I have switched to B&N for new books which I read on my iPad and use Bluefire for my existing Sony DRM purchases.
